Kia ora! Welcome!

Hi there! Thanks for clicking onto my blog, it’s great to have you here!

I’m Alice, a Kiwi lass who loves chocolate, tramping, boardgames and reading. You can read more about me here. I created this blog in 2018 to share my adventures with family and friends.

Tramping, hiking, backpacking, getting lost – whatever you want to call it, that’s what this blog is all about!

The website has only grown and there’s now so much more to explore:

It’s turned into a fun little side hustle, but I’m not quitting my day job any time soon (I work as a hospital-based Speech Language Therapist). If you’re interested in working with me, take a look at this page.

In 2023 I became a mum and have continued going on epic trips with baby / toddler alongside, including overnight tramps and wild camping. You can check out my birth story and if you’re trying for a baby or expecting, then check out my top tips for tramping when pregnant. I’ve also written about my top tips for tramping with a baby. Adventure doesn’t stop just because you become a parent!

My favourite trips

I often get asked what my favourite trips are, and it’s almost impossible for me to choose. It depends so much on the weather, who I was with, how fit I was, how much chocolate I’d packed … All of which can make or break a trip, no matter how spectacular the views are! I will say that almost every trip I write about I would recommend without hesitation, but these are some personal favourites:

So those are some of my favourite trips … where do you want to go?
